Certification Process and Validity

This certificate is valid for two years for seafarers under the age of 55. For those over 55, the certificate is typically valid for one year. The validity of the certificate ensures that seafarers maintain ongoing fitness for duty, reducing the risk of health-related issues during their time at sea.

Seafarers must renew their medical certificates before the expiration date to continue working on board vessels.
